Company Profile

E2 is an Australian company in the pre-implementation phase of project development. The group was established in early 2000 with an initial view to commercialise the establishment of carbon sinks, prior to the likely ratification of the Kyoto Protocol.

A research program was undertaken during mid 2000 to investigate the status and likely outcomes of Kyoto Protocol negotiations by the UN Conference of Parties. The research was a precursor to a pre-feasibility study produced by E2. The results of the study have further refined the Company vision of restoring the global greenhouse balance with the amelioration of degraded lands.

A Business Development Report was produced which documents the findings of the research and forms the basis of EarthEnergy's original Business Plan. A preliminary feasibility study was conducted in 2001 to assess the development of an embedded gas fired power station in Central NSW. The project was to be developed with a 100% emissions offset capacity. This study is ongoing.

Continuing research on the inclusion of integrated energy generation within the E2 vision has identified several renewable energy sites and opportunities. These are currently under preliminary feasibility investigation.

Michael Sherington BSc
Michael has worked in the geosciences industry for the past 15 years  throughout Australasia.  His first foray into the renewable energy sector was as an agent for BP solar in WA in the early 90s developing mobile solar power plants to replace the ‘gensets’ used so often by mining companies in field exploration camps. Michael has successfully worked on developments that include grass roots community based gold projects though to large scale feasibilities and operation start up. Michael has been working on the current wind projects for over two years.
